Due to my husband's job, we relocated to Singapore in September of 2015. As the northern hemisphere school year had already begun, there were few teaching positions available. While I was searching for a role in education, I pursued a long-time passion of mine and worked as freelance makeup artist. In addition to providing beauty services, I gained valuable marketing and customer service skills, leveraged social media platforms to reach a wide audience, and built strong networks of other freelancers in the photography, modeling, and makeup industries. When the timing was right I was able to find a position relief teaching at AIS and then moved into a full time teaching role once there was availability.
